Mechanical Draftsman / Draughtsman
Quarry Mining LLC is a partnership between the Ras Al Khaimah Government and German investors. Our team of 100 skilled professionals can deliver and install any of 50 off-the-shelf mineral processing plants or design a custom solution to meet your requirements. Our in-house workshop handles up to 100 tons of steel production per month. We operate in GCC countries, the MENA region, and other African countries.

We are looking for a skilled draftsman / draughtsman who has experience in Autodesk Advance Steel, to join our growing engineering team.
Our requirements are:
- Utilize Advance Steel software for 3D modelling and detailing of bulk handling systems, steel structures, silos, hoppers, and other quarry equipment.
- Draft and detail conveyor systems, steel structures, bulk handling equipment, and other quarry-related components.
- Prepare engineering drawings, including general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and foundation drawings.
- Contribute to the creation of spare parts drawings and general project documentation.
- Assist engineers in design calculations and reviews.
- Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) and participate in cost estimation and purchasing activities.
- Work collaboratively within the engineering team and liaise with the Head of Engineering and Project Managers.
- Participate in on-site measurements and troubleshooting as needed.
- Generate IDTF (Internal Document Transmittal Forms) and print and issue documents included therein.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Draughtsman or similar role in the quarry or bulk material handling industry.
- Proficiency in Advance Steel software for 3D modelling and detailing essential.
- Strong understanding of welding symbols, machining symbols and surface finish symbols.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD advantageous.
- Experience with bulk handling systems, including conveyors, feeders, crushers, screens, silos, hoppers, and other related equipment.
- Solid understanding of steel structures and fabrication processes.
- Excellent technical skills and the ability to translate engineering concepts into clear and concise drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced English language skills; German language a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
